Okinawa Fruits Land

Along with bananas, papaya, mango, star fruit and dragons eye fruit are many other delights.
In the Bird zone comes the opportunity to interact with a variety of parrots, ducks, a hawk and even enormous bats.
Not long after being bitten on the finger by this colorful little 'rainbow lorikeet', or a lookalike, I had a little chat about the situation face to face.

In the Butterfly Zone we found hundreds of Japans largest specimen of butterfly, the 'tree nymph'. Their shiny golden chrysalis, home to the immature butterflies, hung in delicate rows like jewels on a string.
