Lei Making

Most of the leis that we have been given, either at a store such as Hilo Hatties, or a casual function, are made of small shells laced together in often fairly intricate patterns. These are mostly made in the Phillipines. But the really nice, fresh floral leis, given for special occasions are handmade here in Hawaii. It was very interesting to watch the process as a prelude to our luau dining.
